PNG output sizes at 4×
Every pixel becomes a 4 × 4 block of 16 new pixels, filled in by the AI model instead of copied. File sizes are estimates for PNG output.

4× runs on your device too, so nothing uploads, and needs the Pro plan. Files up to 100 MB work on the free plan, and nothing gets a watermark.
About Portable Network Graphics files
Lossless and supports transparency, so the alpha channel is kept through the upscale.
Output is written as PNG, JPG or WEBP. For PNG input, PNG is the closest match.
How to upscale PNG 4×
- Open the upscaler and drop your .png files. Free batches take 5 files, Pro batches take 200.
- Choose 4× and a model: Photo for camera shots, Illustration for art and logos, Scanned text for documents.
- Pick PNG as the output format, or PNG if you need lossless pixels.
- Start the batch and download each file or a ZIP of all of them.
Questions
Is upscaling PNG 4× free?
4× is part of the Pro plan. The free plan covers 2× for 5 images a day.
Does my PNG file upload anywhere?
No. At 4× the image is decoded and enlarged inside your browser, and the file never leaves your device.
How big is a PNG after 4× upscaling?
Width and height both grow 4 times, so the pixel count grows 16 times. A 1920 × 1080 image becomes 7,680 × 4,320, about 63 MB as PNG.
Is PNG transparency kept?
Yes, on your device (2× and 4×). The model upscales the colour and the alpha channel is enlarged separately and put back, so a transparent background stays transparent as long as you export PNG or WEBP. JPG has no transparency and gets a white background.
Why does 4× need Pro if it runs on my device?
4× is part of the Pro plan. The work still happens in your browser, so your files do not upload even on Pro.
